This weekend was spent working on projects, decorating for fall and spending time at my parents (hubs was practicing his target shooting in prep for his first deer hunt with my dad!). Amongst those projects was this small white dresser.
So our cute little house doesn’t have a pantry and I’ve been struggling with it and wanting one since we got married (3yrs ago). Our kitchen is a really good size but the cupboard space just wasn’t cutting it. I hated moving a ton of stuff out of the way to get to the back of the cabinets to get what I needed. Hubs and I both kept saying we needed to build or get some type of pantry but we never actually did anything. We finally found this boring cupboard at an estate sale for $45 and knew we could make into a farmhouse beauty. And check out that stud I brought with me. He’s pretty great so I might keep him around for a bit. This DIY pantry is probably my favorite project we’ve done.
Summer time is definitely the best time for junkin and lately I have been finding some great treasures! My poor garage is getting quite stuffed, but I love it! Last weekend my parents went to a sale and found this awesome dresser for me and brought it right over so I could start on it. This charcoal gray dresser almost didn’t leave my house once I was finished, I loved it so much. Here’s what she looked like before…
You know those projects that just don’t seem to work out the way you want them to? This white french provincial dresser was one of those projects for me. I kept walking past it in the garage for a couple weeks at a loss of what to do to it. Finally I just decided to go for it.
You know those projects that you see the piece for the first time and you instantly know what you want to do with it? That’s how it was with these stools that I found. I knew exactly how I wanted to recreate them. I’ve been loving the idea of adding numbers to furniture so I knew it would be perfect for this project. These dark gray stools quickly became my favorite when I was finished.
A few weeks ago I went to an estate sale and found some lamps for a huge steal so I had to get them. I knew I could transform them into something great and I just loved the shape. This was my first time painting lamps and I was a little nervous at first but I loved how they turned out! I promise these DIY lamps are fun and easy!
